 The 10th Guitar Cake
Every year Josh has embraced the task of designing a new guitar cake for Colton.  We have all of the pictures somewhere, maybe I'll get my hands on them to show them off.  Creativity at it's best!!

We SURVIVED!!  We hosted our first sleepover of 10 year-old boys last night.  As expected there were a few arguments, a little blood, lots of gross talk, giggling, and not a lot of sleep.  I think it was a success.
Luckily, one of his friends has a little sister in first grade with Lennon and she spent the night too!

Sunday brought the first day of spring and an excellent chance to get out and soak up some sun...at least as much as we could through our minimally exposed areas of skin.  The sunshine was bright and the sky a brilliant blue.  We disregarded the signs at the trail head and walked the trail sans snowshoes or skis, we also brought Bailey.  Colton, being ever aware of the posting of rules, read this sign and immediately pointed out our rule-breaking.  I had to think quick, proclaiming that the sign posted "winter rules" and seeing that it was the first day of spring they did not apply.  (Thankfully we met only one other person on the trail, and he too was clad in boots and accompanied by his dog.)

"Adirondack Blue" is a term I remember hearing when we first moved here, almost 20 yrs ago. Very few days can gain this status. I believe we had one yesterday.

Not to let on that we might be escaping the torments of a typical spring here in the Adirondacks, it is snowing hard right now with a forecast of up to 8 inches of heavy wetness by dinner time.
