A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

Camping Adventures

Last weekend we took a break from the demands and obligations of life "at home" escaping to the woods for a little R&R.  The forecast looked ominous and a lot of people thought we were crazy to go, but it was the only available weekend...and if we haven't melted yet, what's a little rain?
We were lucky to get this beautiful site, next to the coolest tunnel ever!
Food always tastes better when cooked outside...and by someone other than me!!
Dirt took the place of shoes.
The little fishes were biting.
We found Lennon's twin!
The scenery was unforgettable.
Behind the scenes!
The kids and I have found pleasure in building "fairy houses" this summer.  I hope the fairies like their new homes!
Colton's house.
Lennon's house.

We had a beautiful weekend.  We were chased into the shelter of our tarp wrapped screen tent twice by some pretty heavy rain, but it never lasted long and the earth felt clean and happy after.  I wrote a little piece about our adventure over at Moment(um), my new blog for Borderless North. (A new website for Mountain Lake PBS, not officially launched yet, but up live to view.)  Don't worry, all you faithful followers...all three of you! I will continue to post here, I hope you'll follow both!

Cheating again!!  Had the most wonderful visit with Kate and her family last weekend (Adam was missed!).  We are very smitten with little Gabby.  Can't wait to see them all again! (If only Vermont and New Hampshire were a little more narrow!)
