It was a day to enjoy
Lennon and I were on our own this weekend. Josh was working (and playing), in Port Henry. Colton was in Lake George with a friend. We could do anything we wanted and after a little chat we thought hanging out with Mammee and Chris for the day would be fun...we had no idea!
The sun was out in all of it's glory, coaxing even the smallest of leaves out of hiding (and waking up the black flies...but that's a misery not to mar this wonderful day). We were hoping to ride our bikes down the road and sneak in a little lunch. Chris, however, had other plans, "You can ride your bikes any time. How about a boat ride?" Of course we said, "YES!!please!"
These boats are AMAZING!! You can pick them up with ONE finger. And this one is the cutest ever!! Just perfect for the captain of the day!

When Chris asked her if she wanted to drive, her head spun around to me...eyes pleading, begging, commanding...me to say, "Go for it, Hun!" So I did. (Wouldn't you?)
I think she's a natural. (Just like her Dad!)
While we ate our lunch, Lennon threw out a few lines from the boathouse. (I think she looks a lot like her Mammee here!)
After a beautiful day on the water we went back to their house for: a campfire by the pond, paper air-planes off the stairs, yummy lemony/garlicky chicken dinner with Great-Grandma and Ruth, and The Preakness. It really was her day...she picked the winner and won $8.40!! She could barely keep her eyes open on the way home, but a stop at Teddy's Ice Cream woke her up enough for about an hour of "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" before collapsing into bed.
